The organizational structures of the Union Parishad are given below-

    Each union council consists of nine wards.
    A chairman is elected in each union council.
    A local person from each ward is elected as a member.
    One female member is elected in each of the three wards.
    The chairman and members are elected by direct vote by the residents of the union.
Union councils are elected every five years and the chairman and members are elected.
